🎵 HOPE - Joy Restored to Israel

NEW SONG RELEASE

While working on this song, I found myself returning again and again to Jeremiah 30 and 31.

These chapters speak into a time when everything seemed lost for Israel. There was exile, sorrow, and the weight of judgment. Nothing about their situation looked hopeful. And yet, right in the middle of that, God speaks about restoration.

These words were first given for that time, into a real moment in Israel's history. Part of what was spoken was fulfilled when the Jewish exiles returned from Babylon and were brought back to the land. But the full picture reaches further than that. Part of it still points ahead to a restoration yet to be fulfilled, when the Lord will fully accomplish what He has spoken over Israel and Judah.

What I noticed is that God does not overlook what happened. He speaks honestly about the sin and the consequences. But at the same time, He makes it clear that He is not finished with His people.

He talks about healing and bringing them back. He speaks about rebuilding what was broken.

And importantly, He speaks about a remnant.

Not everyone who is counted outwardly will be part of that restoration, but there are those He preserves. Those He carries through.

Though I make a full end of all nations where I have scattered you, yet I will not make a complete end of you.

These words are steady and sure. God remains faithful to what He has spoken, even when everything around it looks uncertain.

Look at these beautiful words from God to Israel:

I have loved you with an everlasting love.

That is not a passing statement. It sits underneath everything else in these chapters. Even in correction, even in exile, His love has not changed.

Jeremiah 31 also speaks about the New Covenant, and it is very specific. It is with the house of Israel and the house of Judah. It is about something happening within, not just outwardly. God will write His law on the hearts of those who know Him in a real and personal way.

This song is simply a reflection on what God has said He will do.

Not everything is restored all at once, but God's word stands, and what He has spoken over Israel, He will bring to pass.

This remains a prophecy yet to be fulfilled. No matter what is happening in the world around us currently, God still has His plan in place, and that is reason for having HOPE.
